Week One

Sunday, December 1st

Note: Write your notes here and save them for later!

• A U2 song says, “I still haven’t found what I’m looking for.” What is it you are looking for?

• Read Matthew 2:1-11

• Consider the discomfort and risk taken on by the magi in their journey to find Jesus. Then consider what seeking Jesus looks like for you this Christmas season.

• The magi were guided by a star. What is guiding you to Jesus, to know him, and be close to him?

• Both the magi and Herod claimed a desire to worship Jesus. Is your worship of Jesus just talk (like Herod) or sincere (like the magi)? What does sincere worship look like?

• Some seek Jesus in order to get something from him. Others, like the magi, desire to offer gifts to him. What is behind your desire to know Jesus?
