TABLE GROUPS
First Church Tables are all about going on a journey together toward Jesus. In Table Groups we spend time with Jesus, getting to know Jesus. The result is we begin to look more like Jesus, so we can lead others to Jesus.

CELEBRATION OF DISCIPLINE by RICHARD J FOSTER
Dividing the Disciplines into three movements of the Spirit, Foster shows how each of these areas contribute to a balanced spiritual life. The inward Disciplines of meditation, prayer, fasting, and study offer avenues of personal examination and change. The outward Disciplines of simplicity, solitude, submission, and service help prepare us to make the world a better place. The corporate Disciplines of confession, worship, guidance, and celebration bring us nearer to one another and to God.

THE BOOK OF HEBREWS
Hebrews stands out for its deep exploration of the superiority of Christ and His new covenant over the old covenant given through Moses. It is a book that bridges the Old Testament and the New Testament, offering insights into the continuity and fulfillment of God’s plan through Jesus Christ.
The primary purpose of Hebrews is to encourage believers to remain steadfast in their faith in Christ, despite persecution and trials. The author seeks to demonstrate that Jesus is the ultimate revelation of God, surpassing the prophets, angels, and even Moses, and that His sacrifice is the perfect and final atonement for sin.

MOLLY'S GROUP
A monthly support group for couples focused on journeying through the grief of pregnancy and/or infant loss. Led by Maddie and Joe Haydon, who experienced pregnancy loss in April of 2023.
We recognize that men and women grieve differently, and this group aims to dive into those differences in order to support couples who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss. The loss of a pregnancy affects both the mother and the father in distinctly different ways, and we want this group to be a place to share resources and reflections on how to best support each other in a partnership when loss like this has the potential to easily tear us apart. No matter when the loss may have occurred, your baby and your story matters.
We are hoping to create a space where we can say what’s truly on our minds at this point in our pregnancy or infant loss journey, where we can pray together, meditate on God’s word, and know that we are not alone.
