TABLE GROUPS

First Church Tables are all about going on a journey together toward Jesus. In Table Groups we spend time with Jesus, getting to know Jesus. The result is we begin to look more like Jesus, so we can lead others to Jesus.

Your First Church Table will meet once each week at one of our campuses or in someone's home.

See you at the table!

TAKE COURAGE BY JENNIFER ROTHSCHILD

Do you ever feel like the happy ending of your story is a million miles away? Then you know how the Jewish people felt when they returned to their wrecked land after exile and began rebuilding the temple. They were distracted, discouraged, and ready to throw in the towel. But the prophet Haggai reminded them they could find courage in the God who had never left them.

Sometimes the landscapes of our lives feel wrecked, with our hope and purpose in shambles. We too get distracted and discouraged. However, God’s presence and promises give us courage to press on and trust Him with our story.

Leader:  Pastor Bob Moss
Study:  Keys to a Satisfied Life

Imagine the man who has it all. Wealth. Power. Prestige. Yet despite having everything he could ever want, he was still unsatisfied. He soon came to a startling conclusion: Even if we have it all, it’ll never be enough.  Meet Solomon, King of Israel.  This revelation inspired him to write Ecclesiastes, his profound thoughts on the meaning of life.

Our Men’s Gathering on Tuesdays will focus equally on hearing these insights and table discussions on these topics. Equal time will be given to teaching moments and table discussions. Men are sure to benefit from the timeless truth aimed at making the most of our earthly life. The result?  New focus, new insights, and deeper relationships with men on the journey together toward a meaningful life.

These gatherings will include coffee and food and will end promptly at 7:30 AM for those who need to head to work.  Additionally, a “second cup of coffee” time will be available for those desiring to linger a little longer.

THE BOOK OF HEBREWS
THE BOOK OF HEBREWS

Hebrews stands out for its deep exploration of the superiority of Christ and His new covenant over the old covenant given through Moses. It is a book that bridges the Old Testament and the New Testament, offering insights into the continuity and fulfillment of God’s plan through Jesus Christ.

The primary purpose of Hebrews is to encourage believers to remain steadfast in their faith in Christ, despite persecution and trials. The author seeks to demonstrate that Jesus is the ultimate revelation of God, surpassing the prophets, angels, and even Moses, and that His sacrifice is the perfect and final atonement for sin.

MOLLY'S GROUP

A monthly support group for couples focused on journeying through the grief of pregnancy and/or infant loss. Led by Maddie and Joe Haydon, who experienced pregnancy loss in April of 2023.

We recognize that men and women grieve differently, and this group aims to dive into those differences in order to support couples who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss. The loss of a pregnancy affects both the mother and the father in distinctly different ways, and we want this group to be a place to share resources and reflections on how to best support each other in a partnership when loss like this has the potential to easily tear us apart. No matter when the loss may have occurred, your baby and your story matters.

We are hoping to create a space where we can say what’s truly on our minds at this point in our pregnancy or infant loss journey, where we can pray together, meditate on God’s word, and know that we are not alone.
