Parking Lot
Looking for folks who can help direct traffic flow in the lot. People who are friendly and welcoming.

We’re looking for organized volunteers with good customer service skills, and having Administration and Helps as spiritual gifts. Need to be comfortable with a computer. Staff the Info Hub and assist visitors. Sundays, 2x a month

A/V (Computer or Sound Tech)
Computer Tech: Person must be tech savvy and creative, able to use computer and/or willing to be trained. Must be organized and adhere to schedule. Computer Techs must be attentive.
When: 1–4 times a month, 9:30am & 11am services

Camera Operator: Camera operators should have an interest in or prior knowledge in running a camcorder/video camera. Must adhere to schedule, willingness to train/learn.
When: Twice per month. 10:30am–12:00pm, during 9:30 & 11:00am services

Audio Tech–Online Streaming Team: Person must be tech savvy and creative, have experience with audio engineering, and/or willing to be trained. Must be organized and adhere to schedule. Audio Techs must be attentive, fast paced, and eager to troubleshoot issues. With a knowledge of our audio systems, the tech will control what comes through the speakers during our Online Streaming worship services.
When: twice/month. 9:00 -12:00pm,

Check-In Volunteer (Kids)
Runs check in using Planning Center Check Ins, but more importantly is the first friendly, smiling
face kids and their parents see when they walk in on a Wednesday night.
When: Wednesday nights, 5:45–6:30pm; Sundays at 9:15 – 9:45 and 10:30 – 11:15

Administrative Support (Kids)
Helps maintain sanitation, safety measures and supports the families as they bring their kids
back to KidZone
When: Wednesday nights, 6:15 – 8:15pm; Sundays at 9:15 – 10:30 and 10:45 – 12:00
Where: KidZone and Little KidZone

Small Group Leaders (Little and Big KidZone)
Work with a small group of kids to help enforce the main lesson of the day through instruction
and activity.
When: Sunday 9:30–10:30 and 11:00–12:00pm

Youth Choir
All students grades 2-12 are welcome!
No previous singing experience required

Rehearsals will continue on Tuesdays: Grades 2-5, 6:30-7:15 pm; Grades 6-12, 6:30-7:30 pm; in the Fellowship Hall.

Service Projects
Regularly First Church does service projects in the community (painting fire hydrants, park clean ups, free car washes, etc.) as a way of showing God’s love. If someone is interested in participating in such events, please send their contact information to Jenny Fry at jenny.f@myfirstchurch and she’ll get them added to our communication list for when projects occur.

New Heights Auto Services
Cleaning Help: Regular help is needed to help maintain the New Heights Auto Services facility, from sweeping, moping, dusting, and cleaning bathrooms. Volunteers are welcome to make regular weekly commitments or can simply come as they are able.
Volunteer Mechanic: Assist with the repair of Cars Ministry vehicles. No experience needed as we always have experienced mechanics on-site.
Detailer: Detail cars that are about to be provided

Medical – Looking for Christian men and women with a strong commitment to Life and reproductive health. Requires some level of medical education – doctor, nurse, ultrasound tech. We do pregnancy testing, ultrasounds and would like to offer S.T.I. testing, which only happens at our Niles location right now.

Other volunteer opportunities – occasional or regular opportunities are available: sorting donations, preparing for special events, building repairs and improvements, cleaning the coffee maker, vacuuming, window washing, spring flower planting, sidewalk shoveling, spring and fall boutique change-over, etc. This can be a great way to learn more about LifePlan with your family, small group, or Bible study.

Adult Choir
No auditions required. If you enjoy singing, worshipping, and being with a great group of people, come join us! The choir serves at the St. Joseph Campus in the 9:30AM worship service. Rehearsals are each Wednesday at 6:30PM.

Front Desk
Training provided. Answer the phone & transfer calls, greet visitors.

Maintenance
Our volunteers help with plumbing, electrical, painting, and general maintenance of our facilities. If a person only wants to help in one area, that is fine. Some volunteers like to do a little bit of everything. Our biggest need right now is to build some walls at the Stevensville Campus (SC). If we have major repairs needed, then we may call a professional. Our Facility volunteers help save the church a lot of money. They are a great group of people.
When:Tuesday mornings or when available
Where: Mostly at St Joseph Campus, but some work at other campuses with those facility directors
Drivers
Usually a day trip to some location, taking youth to a retreat, or VBS. The driver needs a special CDL (Commercial Drivers Lisc.) with a passenger endorsement) through the Secretary of State’s Office. The church normally covers the cost of the testing and securing the license.
When: Periodically as needed
Where: Maybe 1 to 2 times every three or four months.

Care Team
Funeral Meal Point Person: Setup other volunteers, make coffee and punch, set tables with placemats, setup meal line, package up leftovers, and clean-up.
When: as needed/on call

Card Care Ministry: mail a card of encouragement to someone who is going through a health issue or recovering from surgery, or a sympathy card to someone who has recently experienced loss.

Hospital Visitation: Each month the Church Receptionist will call you with several dates to choose from, with you selecting 1-3 days to visit FC personat at Lakeland. Pastor Bob Confer will train you before you serve.

Prayer Teams
Prayer Shawl Knitting Team: Knit prayer shawls (small blankets) with a team of other people. Yarn and pattern provided.
When: 2nd Tuesday of every month, 9:30–11:30
Where: St. Joseph Campus – Heritage Room
Spiritual Gifts: Craftsmanship, Helps, Prayer
Prayer Chain: Receive emails regarding prayer requests and pray for the concern.
When: Pray for request as they come in through email. Go to church website to register https://myfirstchurch.com/prayer. Scroll to the bottom and clock on “Joint a Prayer Team” There is an option to join the email prayer chain list.
Spiritual Gifts: Prayer/Intercession, Faith
Prayer Team: This team is an ongoing basic. You would be contacted when this would be happening. When the pastors are going to encourage people to ask for one on one prayer during the close of the service. Definitely need to be comfortable praying out loud with others.
When: After service one on one. When needed by Pastors announcement.

New Heights CCDA is always in need of passionate individuals ready to make a difference. Through programs like our Community Food Network, New Heights Auto, and the Laundry Hub, we offer essential services that depend on the support of volunteers.
