The No Race Race: Steps to Restoration is a fundraiser supporting Restoration House, and you don’t have to run—or even walk—to be part of it!

$20 -Recovery | $50 -Stability | $100 -Independence | $250 -A New Beginning

Join us on Saturday, October 17 at First Church. You can simply make a donation to support Restoration House, or you can donate and join us for the walk, taking as many—or as few—laps around the church parking lot as you’d like. There’s no required distance, no finish line, and no pressure.

The suggested donation to participate in the walk is $35 per household, so bring the family and join in together. We’ll have food, music, swag bags for participants, and plenty of opportunities to cheer others on.

Every gift helps support the men of Restoration House as they take meaningful steps toward stability, independence, and a restored future.

Our Mission

At Restoration House, our mission is to provide a structured, stable, and safe Christ-centered environment that leads to lasting recovery and restoration. We believe in the transformative power of Christ and are dedicated to helping men reclaim their lives through faith, community, support and evidence-based recovery programs.

At Restoration House, we address the whole person—spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical—through a structured, multi-faceted recovery approach:

Structured Program: Our program helps individuals establish structure in their lives, providing daily routines that include therapy, group studies, and spiritual growth opportunities.

Support for Daily Needs: We assist residents with healthcare, church involvement, and table studies, ensuring that their basic needs are met while they focus on recovery.

We provide residents with access to physical fitness programs, supporting their emotional, mental, and physical health.

Opportunities to serve include mentorship, activities coordination, transportation, house maintenance, meal preparation, and grant writing. Each of these roles helps to provide the structure, support, and community needed for the men at Restoration House to focus on their recovery and personal growth. We are always looking for dedicated individuals to partner with our staff and help make a lasting impact in the lives of these men.

We have three specific ways you can support the men of Restoration House on their journey of recovery:

To respect the dignity and structure of the home, all donations must be brought to the St. Joseph Campus and approved by the director. Donations will not be accepted directly at the house or by residents.

🚗 Volunteer Drivers

We’re in need of male drivers to help transport residents to appointments and essential errands—especially between 12:00–4:00 PM on weekdays. Your presence and willingness to serve can make a meaningful difference in helping them stay on track with their recovery.

📚 Study Materials

To support spiritual growth and personal development, we’re collecting:

🧼 Household Supplies

Help keep the home running smoothly by donating essential items such as:

Meet our House Director

Peter (PJ) Sando has spent the past five years as a Certified Peer Recovery Coach, dedicating his life to helping individuals navigate the difficult journey of addiction recovery. From guiding people through their first steps toward sobriety to offering long-term support years into their recovery, PJ is committed to making a difference. Having battled addiction himself, he understands the struggles of recovery on a deeply personal level. It was God’s love that gave PJ hope for his future, and now he’s driven by a passion to share that same love and hope with others on their path to healing.

Assistant Director

Cuyler Wing moved to the area just shy of five years ago seeking a new life, a new identity, and—most importantly—sobriety. Although he was unclear on when or how, he knew that the Lord wanted to use his past to expand His Kingdom. In that waiting season, Cuyler spent rigorous amounts of time in the Word, evangelizing, hosting Bible studies, serving in ministries, and volunteering wherever he could. He began attending Restoration House to get involved in Bible studies and fellowship, and God opened the door for him to become the Assistant Director.

Cuyler is now on track to become a certified peer recovery coach and will begin classes this fall to pursue his pastoral license. He is filled with excitement and anticipation that comes from working in the home and watching these men’s lives transform into godly testimonies—just like his own. Surrounded by the First Church team, Cuyler firmly believes he is working in a place that is helping launch new beginnings for the community.
